good episode! yeah and just to add sumthing to the past convo. the whole point of an anime is to keep its audience guessing and keep their interest so they will probably won’t tell u for a good amount of episodes.

Ha ha XD Yeah, it seem that anytime anyone ever refers to Crona as a “him” or “her” or whatever, it spawns some gigantic debate. I get the feeling they’ll give Crona a gender in the dub. That would be bad though in case they get it wrong. .___.;

I also thought of some more evidence of Crona probably being a guy.
Witches can only be female and they have the traits of a certain animal. If Crona were female, “she” would be a witch due to being related to Medusa. Crona has not shown any signs of being a witch. I’m sure if Crona were one, it would have been mentioned at some point by Shinigami or someone else.

.__.;;; You guys are all wrong. Crona has only ever been referred to with GENDER NEUTRAL PRONOUNS in Japanese. Medusa said Crona is her CHILD, not daughter. The manga translators decided to call Crona a girl, while the anime subbers call him a guy. I personally think that Crona is a boy because of the following reasons:
1) Uses “boku”, a word for “i” used by males usually. It *is* possible for girls to use it, but only really the tomboyish types do, which Crona is not.
2) Says he doesn’t know how to handle talking to girls when he first meets Maka. He also blushed.
3) He wears male formal wear in episode 31, while all of the girls wear dresses.

And there’s more, but these are some of the most important. I’ve noticed that the only arguments I’ve seen for Crona’s gender being female are appearance based. Purple/pink hair, a dress, and hips(guys have hips too) do not automatically make a character female. Besides, rule of anime: If you’re not sure of the gender, it’s a guy. XD

Well anyways, this is just my opinion on the whole matter. Remember, there is *no* definite evidence of Crona’s gender. Hopefully we’ll find out the truth eventually.

Well the subbed is out and you can see when maka,soul and spirit are in crona’s room soul says “he” but then again the manga has mentioned crona to be a girl so i really dont know.

for me chrona is a boy, in the first battle of with maka and soul, soul call him “he” and chrona after he saw maka she said that he can’t handle girls.
