The part where Ace says “We have to live freer than anybody else!” was so epic in the manga. Like really, EXTREMELY EPIC. Here it’s just… bleh :/

k if you read the manga then you would know that grap was given ace by roger to take care of him garp and luffy are not related to ace but ace calls himself luffys brother dragon is garps son and luffy grandfather that is how this all ties into place. Garp and roger used to fight each other back in the day and so roger knew garp would take care of ace and not tell the world about ace,

Garp is Rodger’s dad. Luffy and Ace’s Grandpa.
Garp may be the bloodline but since Roger was stronger than Garp he did not really be considered that much a threat. Especially since his Loyalty lied with Sengoku.(THEY ARE BFF) lol
