AWESOME SHOW WATCH IF U HAVENT ALREADY
Bleach follows the lives of Ichigo Kurosaki, who is a high school student with the ability to see ghosts, and a shinigami (Soul Reaper or, literally, “death god”) named Rukia Kuchiki, who crosses paths with Ichigo while hunting an evil spirit known as a hollow. Rukia is wounded during the ensuing confrontation with the spirit and is left with no choice but to transfer her powers into Ichigo. Thus the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia begin. Together they search for hollows and perform soul burials on wayward souls, cleansing the spirits and sending them to Soul Society. The early parts of the story focus mainly on the characters and their pasts, rather than the actual occupation of the shinigami. As events unfold, the story begins to delve deeper into the world of these gods of death on the “other side” called Soul Society.
Kurosaki Ichigo

is a teenager with a short fuse and a bit of an attitude. He has the ability to see ghosts, and makes it his mission to protect both the dead and the living from harm.
Rukia Kuchiki

After giving her powers to Ichigo, Rukia convinces him to help her in her work as a Shinigami (Death God) until her powers return. She soon learns that it is a serious crime for a Shinigami to give away their powers, and her life is put in imminent danger
Orihime Inoue

a classmate and friend of Ichigo Kurosaki. She is friendly, sensitive, and very kind. Orihime develops spiritual powers of her own after Ichigo becomes a Shinigami.
Yasutora “Chad” Sado

is quiet, strong, and prides himself on being a protector. Although his real name is Yasutora Sado, everyone calls him “Chad” cause it’s cooler. After discovering his powers - he finds himself protecting Ichigo’s sister and helping him save Rukia from the Soul Society
Uryu Ishida

he last of the Quincy’s - a tribe of spiritually aware humans who fought against the hollows in the past. He is usually shy and quiet, but tries extra hard to act cool when around people. He also dislikes those who target, or take advantage of women
Renji Abarai

Renji Abarai is an elite shinigami bearing the rank of 6th Division lieutenant, making him second in command of a sub-branch of the shinigami armed forces. Although first introduced as a deadly enemy, he has conflicting loyalties between his job and Rukia, with whom he grew up. A brash and driven man, he holds both a deep respect and animosity towards his immediate superior, 6th Division captain Byakuya Kuchiki.
Yoruichi Shihouin

Shihouin Yoruichi, the former Tenshi Heisou Ban of the Shihouin family and also the former Guundanchou (Head of the Military) in Onmitsukidou. Yoruichi has many positive characteristics. She’s intelligent, humorous, knows much about Soul Society inside and out, and has accomplished so much in her life. And for a noble, oddly, she certainly doesn’t act like a one, considering her childish, witty self (unlike the uptight Kuchiki Byakuya), and she doesn’t like being stated as a noble. Like when Soi Fon formally greeted her as “Ruling Commander”, Yoruichi insisted that she be called “Yoruichi-san” instead.
Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai (Chōjirō Sasakibe)

Considered to be the strongest captain in the Gotei 13, Yamamoto is depicted as an old man with a long beard, and long eyebrows. There are many scars on his torso and head, the most seen is a star-shaped one above his right eye, suggesting numerous battles in his past. He wears the standard Shinigami uniform, but its size is greatly exaggerated. He also drapes his haori over his back instead of actually wearing it. Despite his old age, he has a very muscular body.
Soifon

Soifon is staunchly loyal, firm, and unbending in her beliefs. She is a hard worker and takes a strong moral stand — she particularly believes in following orders. She is generally reserved and truly not arrogant in any manner like her lieutenant. She will not hesitate in the slightest to strike down even her subordinates if they stand in her way. She chooses to ignore all her subordinates, including her lieutenant Omaeda, believing that personal struggle builds character. Soifon, like most female Shinigami, is a member of the Shinigami Women’s Association, and appears to be the only one of captain rank within the organization (assuming Retsu Unohana is not a member).
Gin Ichimaru

Gin Ichimaru (市丸 ギン, Ichimaru Gin) was the Captain of the 3rd Division of the Gotei 13 until he betrayed Soul Society, alongside Sōsuke Aizen and Kaname Tōsen. His lieutenant was Izuru Kira. Although Ichimaru is also a major antagonist of the series, he does provide a fair amount of amusement throughout the series, usually through random appearances at the end of most episodes of the Arrancar, Hueco Mundo, and Captain Amagai arcs, where he outlines various facts about the Arrancar.
Retsu Unohana

Retsu Unohana (卯ノ花 烈, Unohana Retsu) is the Captain of the Fourth Division in the Gotei 13. She is one of the oldest and most experienced captains, and is noted to be a very skilled healer.
Sōsuke Aizen

Sōsuke Aizen (藍染 惣右介, Aizen Sōsuke) is the former captain of the 5th Division in the Gotei 13, he later leaves Soul Society with his followers, Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tōsen. His Lieutenant was Momo Hinamori.
Byakuya Kuchiki

Byakuya Kuchiki (朽木 白哉, Kuchiki Byakuya) is the Captain of the Sixth Division in the Gotei 13. His lieutenant is Renji Abarai. He descends from one of the four great noble families of Soul Society, and as such he is the embodiment of pride and discipline, intending to be a role model for all Shinigami.
Komamura

Komamura is an unusual character in that he is an anthropomorphic canine. He was initially very self-conscious about his appearance, and wears gloves with bracers, that combined with his helmet, conceal his entire body. After his fight with Kenpachi Zaraki (during which his helmet was destroyed) in the midst of the invasion of Soul Society, he gained enough confidence to go without the helmet
Shunsui Kyōraku

Shunsui Kyōraku (京楽 春水 ,Kyōraku Shunsui?) is the captain of the 8th Division. He is a laid back and flamboyant man, evident in his style of dress: he wears a straw hat and a woman’s pink flowered kimono over his captain’s uniform. In his off time, he can be seen drinking sake and napping. Other times, he likes to chase after women, particularly his lieutenant. Kyōraku tends to use a more familiar speech style than most other characters in Bleach; he generally refers to his fellow captains and Soul Reapers by their first name followed by an honorific. Kyōraku is a peace-loving man who will always try to find a nonviolent solution, though he does not wish to insult opponents by refusing to fight.
Kaname Tōsen

Kaname Tōsen (東仙 要 ,Tōsen Kaname?) is the captain of the 9th Division at the start of the series. He has been blind since birth, but is capable of using his spiritual sense to “see”. Tōsen is an extremely calm and serious pacifist, though he will not restrain from fighting for what he believes in or preserving justice.
Tōshirō Hitsugaya

Tōshirō Hitsugaya (日番谷 冬獅郎 ,Hitsugaya Tōshirō?) is the captain of the 10th Division and the youngest captain in the history of Soul Society.
Kenpachi Zaraki

Kenpachi Zaraki (更木 剣八 ,Zaraki Kenpachi?) is the most recent captain of the 11th Division. Like all of his predecessors, he has earned the title of “Kenpachi,” meaning that he is the strongest swordsman among all of the Soul Reapers.
Kisuke Urahara (Old 12th Captain)

Kisuke Urahara (浦原 喜助 ,Urahara Kisuke?), once the 3rd Seat of the 2nd Division, replaces Kirio Hikifune as the captain of the 12th Division during the Turn Back the Pendulum gaiden. His experiments to cure his fellow soul reapers of their hollowfication and a plot formed by Sōsuke Aizen caused him to be exiled to the human world a century before the start of the series.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi (New 12th Captain)

Mayuri Kurotsuchi (涅 マユリ ,Kurotsuchi Mayuri?) is the captain of the 12th Division. He personifies the archetype of the mad scientist, viewing everyone as objects to be dissected in the lab. He takes great pride in his experiments and the things he has created (such as his daughter Nemu) and condemns the concept of perfection
Jūshirō Ukitake

Jūshirō Ukitake (浮竹 十四郎 ,Ukitake Jūshirō?) is the captain of the 13th Division. He suffers from tuberculosis, and so has a sickly appearance. His illness acts as an inhibition for him throughout the series; if he fights for too long, or even becomes too agitated, the illness flares up.[32] He is forced to leave most of his duties as a captain to his subordinates so that he can rest. Despite this, Jūshirō is respected by many Soul Reapers for his honesty, loyalty, and personal sense of justice.[33] He and his friend Shunsui Kyōraku are two of the oldest captains in the Gotei 13, both having trained under General Yamamoto thousands of years before the current Bleach storyline.[9]
Shinji Hirako

Shinji Hirako (平子 真子 ,Hirako Shinji?) is the former captain of the 5th Division, preceding his lieutenant Sōsuke Aizen. He distrusted Aizen from the day they met, and thus made him lieutenant so he could keep an eye on him.
Hiyori Sarugaki

Hiyori Sarugaki (猿柿 ひよ里, Sarugaki Hiyori) is a former Lieutenant of the 12th Division under Captains Kirio Hikifune and Kisuke Urahara, and currently a Vizard.
